Its true when they say you won't feel the impact of missing someone
until they are gone. That we often take for granted the people closest to us.
Its very true.
We miss him for the very capable leader he was. We miss him for
the very loud maniac he could be at times. We miss him for the
very entertaining comments he made to everyone. We miss him for all
of his sarcasm. We miss him for his neverending care he made sure he
personally undertook to cover our very slack asses.
We miss him.
I miss him for the not only the superior, but the friend that he
came to be. And for small lil gestures he did. Like picking out my red
and green gummies. And making me tea during teabreaks. And making me laugh
when work politics annoyed the crap out of me. And leaving me cookies
and cookie crumbs on me keyboard, altho he knows that annoyed me too.
And being there for me to shout at when everything seems to be wrong.
Altho it wasn't his fault. I also miss all the work-quarrels we had to
decide on something.
I miss him.
We all miss you, J.
Good luck with your new appointment, and Happy Wedding Day!
