Happy Birthday old man.
54.
you don't look a day over 40, this i'm not lying about.
everything else previously, i was.
:)
so stop lookin in the mirror imagining clumps of white hair on your head.
Good health and blessed joy just for you.
I'm not gettin married anytime soon so you can cross that one off your wishlist.
Since you have opted for 'early retirement' let me at least be the one takin care
of things... and you for now - not that Mom's incapable of course... hell, she's more than capable sometimes.
But just for a lil bit, just for this little while, yes... after all those years of cash - lots of it,
tears, heartburn, headaches, anxiety, neurocism, pain, pills, counselling, near-heart attack
and everything else in between this only daughter had made you go thru.
hey, it was fun wasn't it, no one else in the family would have brought you more
'surprises' than me.
Not even your goody boys.
:)
i love you Daddy - in my own crooked rebellious sarcasm-riddled way.
i love you.
Since I can't think of anything more to write here on this subject matter without being
an emotional prick... I'll go with this.
For you, Daddy.
(no Dad, i'm not gonna sing it, i know you'd rather i shut my trap and write you a card instead, eh?)
Closest I have to words, really.
"I remember when you use to take me on a
Bike ride everyday on the bayou
And I remember when you could do no wrong
You'd come home from work and I jumped in your arms when I saw you
I was so happy to see you
Because you loved me I overcome
And I'm so proud of what you've become
You've given me such security
No matter what mistakes I make you're there for me
You kill my disappointments and you heal my pain
You understood my fears and you protected me
Treasure every irreplaceable memory and that's why...
I want my unborn son to be like my daddy
I want my husband to be like my daddy
There is no one else like my daddy
And I thank you for loving me
I appreciate what you do
You've given me such security
No matter what mistakes I make you're there for me
You kill my disappointments and you heal my pain
You understand my fears and you protected me
Treasure every extraordinary memory and that's why...
I want my unborn son to be like my daddyI want my husband to be like my daddy
There is no one else like my daddy
And I thank you for loving me
Even if my man broke my heart todayNo matter how much pain I'm in I will be okay
Cause I got a man in my life that can't be replaced
For this love is unconditional it won't go away
I know I'm lucky
Know it ain't
men who take care of their responsibilities
Love is overwhelming
Can't help my tears from falling
I love you so much daddy
(Thank you, you've done so much for me. I love you daddy.)
I get so emotional daddy, every time I think of youThere is no one else like my daddy
No one else replace my daddy... "
