So the weekend went fine (w/o any accidents - bless us, as it was D's driving 1st time with the European lefthand drive system - proud of him I so am, grateful for still being alive I so doubly am too!!!!). We had to get him acquainted with the drive 1stly, (and that took alot of his AND my nerves - at one point I swear I wanted to get him out the driver's seat and drive the damned manual car MYSELF, at another point i wanted to shove the road map on his face, really).
So, high-rising temperatures aside on those first few hours of Friday evening, Saturday became D's driveabout run, where we got lost, and lost again (never trust a woman with the road map was his lesson of the day)... and again in Marseille.
Yesterday's medieval village we went to (Le Castellet, somewhere near Bandol) somewhere up in those hills was a spot of breathtaking-ness, we stopped by the roadside to admire the view from the top, and ended up watching and anticipating drop-corner bends at breakneck speeds by groups of bigbikers. Mr R1 would have loved the free action, no need to get tickets to Sepang!! heh.
And dinner-cum-supper with you 4 boys was a riot and a great end to the weekend, we should do that again soon. (This time, no more prawns for Gav!)
And you, D, here's to more driving lessons for you, and more getting lost-and-screaming at each-other-to-turn-into-highway-exits sessions for us.
:p
