Weekend was good girl fun, worked on Saturday morning and then spent the rest of Saturday afternoon going out with Shamim and Joycelyn exploring the old town, I even bought Mom a '2nd wedding dress' which I saw onsale and fell absolutely in love with, I so know she would too. Maybe she can wear it to Ajeeb's wedding in December.
I've finished reading 3 novels since Friday (thank god D is onleave cos he gets annoyed everytime he sees me spending my whole time with one). I found my reading glasses at last, I've 'lost' them since a year back i think so now I'm gonna have to start wearing them again since my eyesight is getting worse by the day, which is not good for me. Glasses do not do my round face any justice.
Sunday morning we went to the local 'morning market', with Joyce the newbie taking pictures of everything, from the flowers to the dead fish head, to the dogs, to road signs, to EVERYTHING. She wanted to show them to her hubby. Sunday afternoon saw me and VJ taking poor Daniel to the hospital 'urgences' - the poor boy had cleaned out his ears on Saturday and when he took out the cotton bud, the 'cotton' part of it was not there - it was stuck in his ear!!!! So after a difficult time of explaining in my broken english-french what the cause of urgency was, we waited for half an hour, and another half an hour whilst they tended to Daniel. He came out still half-deaf in one ear cos they could not take the cotton off his eardrum surface. This morning we sent him to a specialist. That piece of cotton is now he most prized possesion i think.
I miss D, not having him around feels a lil lonely cos he take us all of my free time (and sanity) when he is here. LOL. I also miss forcing him to drive me out to places, him taking away my novel when he sees me reading, or taking me to McD and simple stuff like asking me the English words for stuff he's thinking of in his native language. Ricky the iritating has also gone onleave, and I feel his absence too. No one to giggle about stuff with. No one to ask me to stop for teabreaks and lunch. I get along with the rest of them just fine, its just that I tend to miss the more special ones, the ones I run to when I am bored or need their company.
Ms. P please be kind on me. I don't want to be cranky whilst doing these handovers, it would scare Joyce the newbie away!
Here's waiting for Tuesday, and since Mr. 'HE' finally decides to get back from leave tonight, I don't think Tuesday would be much better in any way. *GROANS*
